• Volunteers Needed to Build Habitat Homes
  The Houston Bar Association Habitat for Humanity Committee has met its financial goal and is now recruiting volunteers to build a 12th Habitat home in April and May 2009. Construction dates for which the HBA is still recruiting are April 4, April 18, April 25, and May 2. Volunteers will work from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and are needed for framing, roofing, siding, and exterior finishing. Please contact Rusty Bienvenue at 713-759-1133 or rustyb@hba.org if interested.

• 2009 Spring Children's Clothing and Diaper Drive Drop-Off Dates
  The Houston Bar Association Spring Clothing and Diaper Drive Drop-off dates are scheduled for April 13-17, 2009. The HBA will be collecting clothing, diapers and cash donations. Send checks, payable to HBA, to 1001 Fannin, Suite 1300, Houston, Texas 77002.
  
  
• LAW Trash Bash Volunteers Needed April 18
  The Lawyers Against Waste Trash Bash is scheduled for Saturday April 18, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until noon. HBA members will have the opportunity to beautify Houston this year at Mason Park, 541 S. 75th Street. Volunteers will mow, weed, pick up trash, power wash and other tasks.
