Whitney Heard

B.A., summa cum laude, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

Whitney Heard earned her B.A. in Speech Communication from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. While at Georgetown, she served as a teaching fellow in the legal research and writing department and worked as a law student advocate in the Family Advocacy Clinic. After graduating from law school, Professor Heard was admitted to the Illinois bar and worked as a litigation associate in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Before joining the Law Center, she served as a law clerk for the Honorable Marcia A. Crone, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Professor Heard teaches legal research and writing to students enrolled in the Foreign L.L.M. program.
