Ted Field


Ted L. Field is a Professor of Law at South Texas College of Law Houston, where he teaches Patent Law, Intellectual Property Litigation, Torts, and Evidence. He earned his J.D., summa cum laude, from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, where he was the founding managing editor of the John Marshall Review of Intellectual Property Law and a member of law review. Additionally, he holds an M.S. in chemistry from Northwestern University and a B.A. in chemistry from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Before joining the faculty at South Texas College of Law Houston, Professor Field was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Chicago-Kent College of Law. And before entering academia, Professor Field practiced in the area of patent litigation at Banner & Witcoff, Ltd., in Chicago. Professor Field researches and writes in the area of patent litigation. His articles have been cited in academic journals and treatises, federal district-court opinions, briefs and petitions in the Supreme Court of the United States, and briefs in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
