Alternative Assignment in Lieu of STAR Drug Court Observation: JP, Spring 2013

(1) Go online and read about "alternative courts" (such as drug courts) in general, and the Harris County Star Drug Court, in particular.

(2) Based upon what you've read, discuss why you feel these types of alternative courts are a good idea. Can you also come up with any arguments as to why they might not be such a good idea?

Email me your 2-page, double-spaced paper on/before Sunday, 2/17/13.
