Kristy Lynn Williams
Kristy is motivated by a desire to shape the law and impact health policy decisions, and utilizes her background in scientific and medical research to this end. She was recently a visiting scholar with the Institute for Medical Humanities at the University of Texas Medical Branch, where she conducted independent research and was an instructor for the Humanities, Ethics and Professionalism course for second year medical students. Her research interests include: organ and tissue transplantation, end-of-life medical decision-making and the regulation of medical devices.
Kristy received her LLM in Health Law from the University of Houston, a JD from the University of Calgary, a PhD in neuroscience from Memorial University of Newfoundland and a BSc from Simon Fraser University. She is a member of the New York Bar and the Law Society of Alberta, and clerked with the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench.
