TOPIC: In-House Perspectives on Hydraulic Fracturing
Please join us for a exciting panel discussion on the environmental issues associated with hydraulic fracturing from the perspectives of Assistant General Counsel Kevin McDonald from Marathon Oil and Assistant General Counsel Stuart Kemp from Halliburton.
Stuart Kemp graduated from South Texas College of Law in 1993, and after working with ExxonMobil and American Airlines on Insurance Coverage Litigation, he joined Halliburton's Law Department in 2003 as an environmental attorney. Stuart is an Assistant General Counsel in charge of the Environmental Law Practice Group within Halliburton's Law Department, where he currently handles legal issues relating to Halliburton's hydraulic fracturing activities around the world.
Kevin M. McDonald serves Marathon Oil’s Law Organization as Assistant General Counsel – Administration, Compliance, Privacy and Regulatory Affairs. In his role, Kevin handles administrative functions across the Law Organization, liaises with governance, risk and privacy initiatives, and coordinates legal and regulatory compliance issues. Prior to joining Marathon, Kevin was a partner at the international law firm of Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. Kevin also held numerous management positions at Cooper Industries Ltd., Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, and Valero Energy Corporation, including senior vice president, public policy and government affairs, general counsel, and chief compliance officer. Kevin also is involved in charitable and community organizations, most recently having served on the Board of and as CEO for Arms of Hope, a program for disadvantaged children and families struggling to overcome homelessness and abuse.
Networking and registration is from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm. Lunch and the presentation will begin promptly at noon. Valet parking is available at a cost of $7.00.
