February Program: A special presentation from Bob Stokes, President of the GALVESTON BAY FOUNDATION.
After a brief social period at 7:00 p.m., the program begins at 7:30. The GALVESTON BAY FOUNDATION launched in 1987 as a nonprofit organization to preserve, protect and enhance Galveston Bay -- one of the world's most productive estuaries. The foundation's balanced programs in advocacy, conservation, education, and research strive to ensure that Galveston Bay remains a beautiful and productive place for generations to come.
Bob's presentation will focus on the foundation's latest activities, as well as, a look at the external forces threatening the health and well-being of this critical and historic treasure.
