EENR Center Lecture by TCEQ Chairman Bryan Shaw, Sept. 23, 2011 The University of Houston Law Center’s Environment, Energy and Natural Resources Center hosted a lecture with Bryan W. Shaw, Chairman of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, at the Law Center. Chairman Shaw spoke at length about the challenges of coordinating environmental policy for the State of Texas with federal regulatory and policy initiatives sought by the U.S. Environmental Protect Agency. Chairman Shaw is on leave from his position as an associate professor in the Biological and Agricultural Engineering Department of Texas A&M University, where the majority of his research concentrates on air pollution, air pollution abatement, dispersion model development and emission factor development. Additionally, he served as a member of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Science Advisory Board (SAB) Committee on Integrated Nitrogen, as well as the EPA SAB Environmental Engineering Committee and the Ad Hoc Panel for review of EPA's Risk and Technology Review Assessment Plan.
