Jan. 26, 2012 -- National Symposium on Environmental Criminal Liability. As part of its National Moot Court competition, UHLC held a symposium on Jan. 26 with a panel of top enivronmental criminal defense attorneys. The moot court competition concluded on Saturday, Jan. 28, with a finals argument before several Fifth Circuit and Texas Supreme Court justices on an enviromental criminal liability case. more...

A noted panel of judges, including Ken Starr (former federal judge, special prosecutor and current President of Baylor University), John Cruden (President of the Environmental Law Institute and past deputy assistant attorney general for the U.S. Department of Justice's Environment and Natural Resources Division) and Tom Phillips (former Texas Supreme Court justice), will arguments from leading advocates Rick Faulk and David Axelrad.
