New Civil Practice Clinic
The Domestic Violence Clinic and the Juvenile Clinics have joined forces.
The Clinical Program is announcing a new and expanded Civil Practice Clinic. Beginning in the fall 2007, the Juvenile Advocacy Clinics and the Domestic Violence Clinic will be incorporated into the Civil Practice Clinic:
Course Description: Students will represent clients in the following civil practice areas: family (including domestic violence, divorce and custody), juvenile dependency and delinquency, probate, consumer law, DTPA, guardianship, bankruptcy, and landlord/tenant. Representation will include court/trial appearances, mediation, negotiation, document drafting and case investigation.
Students can still submit an application for Clinic II/Summer only for the current Civil Clinic and Juvenile Defense Clinics.
The fall application process is still the same as previous semesters but under the new Civil Practice Clinic.
