Business

In addition to practicing law in a traditional environment, many students are choosing to pursue opportunities in the business world.  Jobs available in the corporate environment can range anywhere from in-house counsel for a large company to handling risk management for a hospital, with numerous opportunities in between.  

At UH Law Center, you have the option to further your business education by taking advantage of the joint degree program offering both a JD and an MBA. This program gives students the benefit of being able to complete both programs in four years.  We offer a Business and Industry Table Talk every spring where companies from around Houston attend to talk informally with our students about potential job opportunities in the corporate world.  In addition, there are various opportunities throughout the year to hear speakers from the business side of the legal field talk about how they obtained their jobs and what their work entails.
