Rhonda Beassie,
Assistant Dean of Career Development
A graduate of Hawaii Pacific University and University of Houston
Law Center, Dean Rhonda Beassie practiced and taught in our Clinical
and Legal Writing Programs before assuming direction of the Career Development
Office. She developed expertise in legal placement as the first Supervisor
of the UHLC Externship Program developing student placements in judicial
internships, government agencies, health law organizations, and public
interest legal services agencies. Prior to pursuing a career in law,
Dean Beassie worked in both marketing and human resources fields. Get

Nikki Wise, Associate Director
Nikki graduated from Texas A&M University and the University of Houston Law Center. She has extensive experience in legal placement from her previous positions as Career Counselor, Assistant Director and Director of Career Development at the UHLC. In addition, Nikki gained knowledge of the legal recruitment process through practicing law and being active on law firm recruiting committees.
Melissa
Hamlin, Career Counselor
Melissa joined the Career Development Office in
January 2002. She received her Bachelor of Science
from East Texas State University in Photography
and Marketing. Melissa has over twenty years working
with professional degree students in medical and
legal fields. Since joining the Career Development
Office in 2002, Melissa has significantly improved
our employer outreach, participation in national
job fairs and increased the size of our on-campus
interviews.
Allison Regan, Career Counselor
Allison joined the Office of Career Development after practicing insurance coverage law in New Orleans, Louisiana. A graduate of Clemson University and Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, Allison was chairman of the Moot Court Board and actively involved in the Student Bar Association while at Loyola.
Catherine
Wright, Program Manager
Catherine
Wright received her degree in Sociology at Arizona State University. While
there she worked in Campus Recreation as a Facility Coordinator. She served
as a Disability Counselor at The University of Mississippi and then joined
the Student Services staff at the University of Houston Law Center in
2001 working as coordinator for student organizations. Catherine plans and coordinates our student programs and small firm outreach.
Kelli
Coley, Office Manager
Kelli joined UH in May 2008. As Office Manager,
Kelli handles numerous administrative and budgetary
aspects of the office as well as Reciprocity and
Job Posting services. Prior to joining UH she worked
at a venture capital firm as an Administrative Assistant.
Kelli holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business
Management.
