Intercollegiate
Job Bank/Reciprocity
Services
Law Center
alumni have access to job postings from various law schools across the
nation by accessing the Intercollegiate Job Bank. To access the Job Bank,
you must first contact Catherine Wright in the Office of Career Development at
713-743-2090 to obtain the password. Once you receive the password, go
to www.law2.byu.edu. Click on the
Office of Career Development link (Left-hand column). Under "Visitor Information",
click on "Intercollegiate Jobbank"
Law Center
alumni can request access to the career center at a law school in another
city that is not listed on the Intercollegiate Job Bank for a prescribed
period of time, which usually includes gaining access to that school’s
job postings. Many law schools have black out dates (usually in the fall)
during which time reciprocity requests will not be entertained. Reciprocity
requests take 1 to 2 weeks to process and students are notified by mail
or e-mail that a request has been approved. Requests
for Reciprocity can be made to one law school within a city per alum.
To make a
reciprocity request, send an e-mail to lawcareer@uh.edu.
Include in your e-mail the specific law school you would like reciprocity
from and your current mailing address, phone number and graduation year.
If you fail to include this information in your e-mail, a request will
not be made of your behalf.
