Blakely Advocacy Institute

Attached please find the materials you’ll need (three articles plus the fact pattern) to prepare your five-minute closing argument for tryouts. Remember, we’re looking for preparedness, substance AND style. If you have not yet signed up for a tryout time, you must do so in the Blakely Advocacy Institute (1st floor BLB). You may direct any questions generally regarding tryouts or the attached materials to me.

Please note: once tryouts are complete, we will take a few days to name the team. Results will be posted by the end of the following week in Blakely (same place you signed up for tryouts). DO NOT, under any circumstances, bug the staff in the Blakely office about when the results will be up. The folks who work in the office are not there to give you updates on your team membership status. Annoying them will only hurt your chances. We know you’re anxious, and we will post the team roster the second it’s ready.  Promise.

Good luck,

Julie Gray, coach
