May 15, 2013 - Attorney Adam Kravitz '88 has joined Becker & Poliakoff in the firm's Corporate Law Practice Group in the Miami office. Kravitz has more than 20 years of legal experience in international corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and securities law. Additionally, he has an entrepreneurial background with experience in providing business and legal counsel to several notable start-ups.
From 1999 through 2005, Kravitz served as a founding director and general counsel of Spark Networks, which runs online dating websites including JDate.com and ChristianMingle.com. Prior to Spark Networks, he was an attorney with the London office of Zellermayer Pelosoff, one of Israel's bestknown law firms where he acted as lead counsel in several IPOs in London and Frankfurt and represented clients in diverse international transactions. He also served as CEO of eVoter, Inc., a voter information website that he co-founded in 2009. The site attracted over 1.2 million voters in six states and forged strategic partnerships with Yahoo! and NBC Local Media.
Kravitz received a J.D. degree from the University of Houston and B.A. degree from Montreal's McGill University. He also received an M.S. degree in History from the London School of Economics.
