Lex Dynasty
I know you are making plans to attend “The Lex Dynasty,” our UH Law Alumni Association Annual Gala on Saturday, March 29, 2008.  Our Asian-inspired theme should be a perfect prelude to the Olympic Games to be hosted by China in 2008.

But there’s another side to “dynasty,” defined as prominent families or groups whose members retain power and influence through several generations.  That’s a side we plan to feature at our upcoming Gala as we celebrate families that include two or even three generations of Law Center graduates.

Our Law Center “dynasty” also extends to current professors who encouraged their students to become teachers – and eventually welcomed these graduates to our faculty.  We know of prominent Texas law firms that employ multiple generations of our alumni – and even include founding members who met while attending the Law Center.

I am asking for your help in identifying other “Lex Dynasty” candidates who deserve to be honored in photographs and text at this year’s Gala.  If you are a member of such a “dynasty,” or know someone who is, please contact Jessica Sirmans immediately at thelexdynasty@uh.edu.  Her direct line is 713.743.2394.

Thanks for your help – and I’m looking forward to seeing you at our Lex Dynasty Gala & Auction on March 29 to support the excellence of the University of Houston Law Center.
