REINSTATEMENTS

Michael C. Mapes, 44, of Houston has petitioned for reinstatement as a member of the State Bar of Texas.

Rudy G. Sanchez, Jr., 45, of Potomac, Md. has petitioned  for reinstatement as a member of the State Bar of Texas.

BODA ACTIONS

On Feb. 3, 2000, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals disbarred James Truett Garrett, 66, of Houston.

On March 3, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals entered an agreed interlocutory order of suspension against Ramon A. Villafranca, 60, of Laredo.

On Aug 12, 1999, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals dismissed the appeal of Myles H. Pennington, 52, of Arlington of an order of disbarment

On March 7, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals suspended J. Brent Liedtke, 48, of Houston.

On March 7, the Board of Disciplinary Appeals suspended Hiram McBeth, III, 48, of Dallas.

RESIGNATIONS

Thomas M. Booker, 51, of Austin resigned in lieu of discipline on Dec. 20, 1999.

DISBARMENTS

Larry Gene McMillion, 44 of Midland was disbarred On Sept. 20, 1999.

H. Wayne Meachum, 54, of Dallas was disbarred On Nov. 1, 1999.

Bryan McBride Miller, 35, of Dallas was disbarred On Oct. 14, 1999.

SUSPENSIONS

Gail Norman Batten, 62, of Dallas accepted a three-month suspension, fully-probated for 18 months, effective April 1, 2000.

Robbie D. Bookman, 41, of Houston received a 12-month, fully-probated suspension effective Jan. 10, 2000.

Bruce A. Coane, 41, of Houston received a one-year suspension, fully-probated for three years, effective Jan. 29, 2000.

Michael William Metz, 37, of Temple accepted a three-year, partially-probated suspension effective June 1, 2000, with the first three months actively served and the remainder probated.

Leslie Deanne Snipes, 38, of Houston from the practice of law for an indefinite period effective Jan. 24, 2000.

Kenneth H. Strahan, 60, of Humble agreed to a six-month, fully-probated suspension effective March 13, 2000.

Aujua Ayoluwa Umoja, 41, of Houston received a four-year, partially-probated suspension effective March 1, 2000, with the first two years actively served and the remainder probated.

David M. Garcia, 45, of San Antonio received a seven-month, partially-probated suspension effective Nov. 12, 1999, with the first six months actively served and the remainder probated.

Ronald R. Hopkins, 38, of Houston received a 42-month, partially-probated suspension effective Jan. 24, 2000, with the first six months actively served and the remainder probated.

PUBLIC REPRIMANDS

Mary E. Conn, 46, of Harris County received a public reprimand on Jan. 24, 2000.

Damon D. Douglas, 63, of Athens accepted a public reprimand on Feb. 23, 2000.

Janet Stockard, 51, of Austin accepted a public reprimand On March 7, 2000.
