In 2011, members of an Amish community near Bergholz, Ohio committed a series of attacks in which they cut off the hair and beards of other Amish people in surrounding areas. This book recounts the history of the “Bergholz barbers” and their leader, Bishop Samuel Mullet, as well as their trial and conviction on 87 felony charges, including federal hate crimes.
