New Associate Director of the Library
 
Mon Yin Lung , Associate Director

Mon Yin finished her undergraduate education at The Chinese University of Hong Kong with a major in History. She then received a Master of Social Science in History from the University of Mississippi, followed by a Master of Science in Library Science from Louisiana State University. After many years serving as a librarian in various libraries, Mon Yin finally decided to pursue an education in law and subsequently earned a J.D. from the University of Kansas in 2002 while working full time in the KU Law Library.

With more than 20 years of law library experience, Mon Yin has served in almost every professional position in a law school library and is familiar with all aspects of law library operation. Prior to joining the UH Law Center, she was with the University of Missouri-Kansas City Law Library, the University of Kansas Law Library, and the Florida International Law Library. Positions she held include the Cataloging Librarian, Reference Librarian, Head of Technical Services and Documents, Public Services Librarian, Assistant Director, and Acting Director. Mon Yin enjoys working with people and compiling bibliographies. Being active both in regional and national professional organizations, Mon Yin was the founder of the Asian-American Law Librarian’s Caucus and was nominated Southwestern Association of Law Libraries Outstanding Member in 1994.
