Law Library
Interlibrary
Loan
The
Law Library provides Interlibrary Loan Services to all University of Houston
law faculty. Requests are typically filled within 10 business days from receipt
of the request. Faculty are responsible for returning all borrowed books in
a timely manner, as late returns adversely affect our reputation in the library
community, hindering the future ability to borrow items.
1.
Placing requests
Requests may be made online at ILL/form.html,
by email (hboyce@central.uh.edu),
or by submitting a printed form (sample attached) to the Circulation Desk.
When filling out the form, please provide as much information as you have
available.
2.
Delivery of item
Once the item has arrived, the ILL Librarian will have it delivered to you
via the daily (M-F) library courier.
3.
Renewal policy (books)
Should you require the borrowed item for a longer period than the lending
library permits, you may email hboyce@central.uh.edu requesting an extension. The ILL librarian will request a renewal on your
behalf, and if an extension is granted, will communicate the new due date
to you. Only one renewal per book is permitted.
If a renewal request is rejected or if you need the book for longer than a
renewal period permits, please return the book to the Circulation Desk and
indicate your continued need for the item. The ILL Librarian will obtain the
item for you through another library.
If
you have any questions about interlibrary loan policies or procedures, please
