The University of Houston Law Center participates in the following job fairs each year. The University of Houston Government and Public Interest Table Talk held on February 3rd, 2012 at the Law Center. Hosted University of Houston, approximately 30 government agencies and public interest organizations will be available to interview 1L's, 2L's and 3L's for summer internship and fellowship opportunities.

Public Interest Law Career Fair held on Thursday January 26th and Friday January 27th, 2012. Hosted by the University of Texas. Public interest employers from around the nation interview 1L's, 2L's and 3L's for summer internships and fellowships.

Metroplex Job Fair. Coordinated by the University of Houston Law Center, Texas Tech University School of Law and St. Mary’s University School of Law. Employers from the Metroplex area can interview 1L's, 2L's, and 3L's for summer internships and permanent attorney positions. Friday, February 17, 2012. Austin Legal Job Fair. Coordinated by the University of Houston Law Center and Texas Tech University School of Law. Employers from the Austin area can interview 1L's, 2L's, and 3L's for summer internships and permanent attorney positions. Friday, February 24, 2012. Corpus Christi Interview Day. Rio Grande Job Fair. Sponsored by the Women's Bar Section of the Hidalgo County Bar Association in cooperation with the Hidalgo County Bar Assocation, J.D. candidates from all nine Texas law schools will be available for interviews on March 23, 2012 from 10:00am to 2:00pm at Edwards Abstract & Title Co., 3111 W. Houston Bar Association 1L Minority Recruitment Program - Deadline for submissions January 23, 2012. Held at various employers' offices. Employers in Houston interview 1L's only for summer associate positions. All 1L's may participate regardless of race, gender, nationality, etc.

Texas In Washington Recruitment Program held in August. Hosted by the University of Houston Law Center in Washington D.C. Washington area employers interview 2L's for summer associate positions. To register for this event, please call 713-743-2090.

Chicago Patent Law Interview Program held in August. Hosted by Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois. Employers from across the country interview 2L's interested in intellectual property law for summer associate positions.

Sunbelt Minority Job Fair held in September. Hosted by numerous law schools in the "southern" states in Dallas, Texas. Employers from across the country interview 2L's for summer associate positions and 3L's for permanent attorney positions.
